Blanka Matragi is one of such artists. Preciosa established cooperation with her in 2006, becoming the general partner in her festive fashion show held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of her first design works, and simultaneously the general partner of the exhibition of contemporary and retrospective models uniquely created for royal families. For this exhibition, Preciosa manufactured, to Mrs. Matragi’s design, a huge decorative floor lamp and a limited series of exclusive fashion jewellery.
Blanka Matragi ranks among the eminent Czechs who have won success and recognition abroad. After her studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, she followed, as a fledgling designer, her husband to the Lebanon. Beirut, this traditional bridge between the East and the West, where the Islamic and the Christian worlds meet, enchanted and inspired her. She soon won recognition as a designer of evening dresses and opened her Blanka Haute Couture salon, which became a guarantee of fashion excellence. Her clients rank among women from royal families in the Persian Gulf countries, as well as among the wives of industrialists, diplomats, architects and doctors in the Arabic world. She also has clients in Europe and America. Since the very beginning of her career as a designer, Mrs. Matragi has always decorated her models with Preciosa glittering products. Her imagination and inventiveness find expression more and more in the field of glass design. It is in this sphere of activity where Preciosa can offer a mutually beneficial cooperation, interesting and inspiring for both partners.
