PRECIOSA presents 7 shades of colours
Imagine a stone created from perfectly clear colourless Cubic Zirconia, which nevertheless radiates stunning colours, without any colour being present either in the rough material or on its surface. Imagine a stone whose colour doesn’t vary with the stone’s shape or size. Imagine a stone with a new dimension of usage, stone that can be glued without loss of brilliance and fire.

Coating Effects

Means the finishing of a selected surface of a CZ stone by a vacuum-coating or dyeing process, i.e. the application of layers of metals, metal oxides, salts or compounds of these or a special dye. Vacuum coating is available as Top Coating or Bottom Coating.
Top Coating is a decoration created by a vacuum-coating or dyeing process applied to the top of the stone.
Bottom Coating is a decoration created by a vacuum-coating process applied to the bottom of the stone.

Lotus Cut

Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) symbolizes purity, beauty, majesty, grace, fertility, wealth, richness, knowledge and serenity.
All attributes can be seen in Preciosa special Lotus Cut as well.
Lotuses are found in white and pink colours in general and they grow in shallow and murky waters. Lotus flowers enjoy warm sunlight and are intolerant to cold weather. This is why the Lotus is not seen blossoming in the winter. The floating leaves and Lotus flowers have long stems, which contain air spaces to maintain the buoyancy. The Lotus is native to Asia and flourishes in a wide range of climates from India to China. The Pink Lotus is the National Flower of India.

Preciosa produce also Pink, Lt.Gold, Orange and Purple colours besides standard White colour.

Marcasite

Marcasite used in jewellery is actually iron pyrite, since genuine marcasite often crumbles into dust and is thus too delicate to be used in jewellery. The composition of iron sulphide and iron pyrite is the same, however they crystallize differently. The mineral pyrite, or iron pyrite, is an iron sulfide with the formula FeS2.

Marcasite jewellery has a history that stretches back hundreds and hundreds of years. It was popular during the 18th century and was frequently seen in lockets, brooches, and cameos.
