Lotte Hotel, Moscow, Russia

The Essence of Russian Diversity

While Korean in origin, the new five-star hotel in Moscow will imbue you with the characteristic atmosphere of a contemporary Russian interior. Come in and take a closer look!

The Noviy Arbat Boulevard is dominated by grandiose buildings. True to the style of this street, the Lotte Hotelis no exception. In an ideal location at the heart of Moscow’s financial and shopping district, it is near the legendary Red Square, Kremlin and Bolshoi Theatre. The hotel features 304 elegant and spacious rooms, royal and presidential suites, French and Japanese restaurants, one large and six small ballrooms, the luxurious Mandara Spa, a Club Lounge as well as a breathtaking atrium garden. All these magnificent interiors are illuminated by PRECIOSA.

In fact, the hotel boasts over fifty different PRECIOSA fixtures of all shapes and sizes from modern to classical, with a total of more than four hundred individual pieces. The Hotel is decorated with cast, cut and polished, plated and slumped glass luminaries.  Starting in the main lobby you will immediately be mesmerized by the central illuminated creation which weighs in at 1.25 metric tons. From its center emanates a sunburst made of an imposing array of hand-crafted glass rays. Underneath, sitting on a massive marble table sits its smaller but equally impressive cousin.  Leading from the lobby to the upper floors is a staircase that winds its way around the next extravagant creation, a 12 meter-high waterfall made entirely of cut chandelier trimmings.

The interior of the Mandara Spa, on the other hand, is decorated with lights made from Salago fiber. The material creates an interesting textured surface which is then finished to achieve the desired effect. In the Japanese restaurant you will find cast polyresin bells with a patina finish. The inside of each bell is lined with rich, luxurious fabric.  The innovative use of Velcro helped to create the pleated ruffles around the six meter-long
rectangular chandelier which sits over the buffet table and the round chandelier which encircles the central pillar in the French restaurant. All materials used were hand-picked to meet the exact requirements of the architects from Singapore and Japan.
