Preciosa and Society

Being an important corporate citizen in the Liberec Region, Preciosa does not leave out its responsibility towards society. The Preciosa Foundation was established to demonstrate corporate culture and corporate citizenship. During its existence, the Foundation’s primary mission has been to provide help and support to the non-profit sector and individuals within the region. At a nationwide level, the company has become well-known for its support of science and research as well as care of professional education.

The Preciosa Foundation

PRECIOSA a.s. started its corporate foundation in 1993. Its original purpose was to take care of the health of the people living in the Jablonec Region and nearby.
At the end of 1995, the company’s Board of Directors decided to establish a corporate foundation with a broad scope of activities and to create an organizational structure that has remained in force ever since. Nowadays, the Foundation mainly focuses on 7 basic areas that are followed and monitored in detail by individual funds and their administrators.

During its existence, the Foundation has supported more than a thousand various community activities.

Grants

Thanksto its successful participation in a selection procedure, the Preciosa Foundation became a recipient of financial contributions from the Foundation Investment Fund (Nadační investiční fond or NIF). The proceeds from these assets are allocated to the social and education area through the annual announcement of grants.
