The one-of-a-kind Glass Magic – Preciosa exhibit at the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou, created to commemorate Preciosa’s 65th anniversary, is slowly coming to an end. It is a definite must see before it closes on Sunday October 27th, 2013. However, if your path will not take you to Jablonec before October is out, or if you live too far away, you can still take a virtual tour of the exhibit online!
The first part of the exhibit, an exquisite historic collections of jewellery, accessories, and decorative objects, can be viewed on splendid panoramic photos on our web site. These highlight the rich history of jewellery and glass production in northern Bohemia over the past several centuries. The theme of the second half of the exhibit focuses on present day glassmaking in the Jablonec region. Today Czech glassmaking is primarily represented by the Preciosa Group, whose collection of companies exports its beautiful crystal creations all over the world.
The product range of the Preciosa Group is quite wide, ranging from the tiniest of jewellery components made from genuine Czech crystal and sparkling cubic zirconia (Preciosa, a.s.), to the extraordinarily popular beads, seed beads and decorative glass (Preciosa Ornela, a.s.), designer crystal gifts and jewellery collections (Preciosa – Figurines s.r.o.), and breathtakingly spectacular, award-winning artistic and technically advanced glass light fixtures (Preciosa - Lighting, a.s.). Rounding out the mix are the contemporary Vinolok glass stoppers (GS Preciosa, a.s.): a forward looking yet classic solution for the next millennium!
